Richmond, Va, 19 December 2011:  Incoming Senate Majority Leader Thomas K. Norment, Jr. (R-James City) and Senator Walter A. Stosch (R-Henrico) issued the following statements regarding today’s address by Governor McDonnell to the House of Delegates Appropriations and Finance Committees and the Senate Finance Committee:

Senator Norment: “The people of Virginia voted to give Governor McDonnell a Senate majority that shares his priorities and will support his job creation agenda.  We’re excited about being able to partner with him to enact a frugal, fiscally responsible budget.”

Senator Stosch: “Budgets are about setting policy priorities, and the Governor is positioning Virginia for job creation and economic growth.  Virginia’s fiscal house is being put in order, and we’re making decisions that will benefit the people of our state for generations.”
